1.
The Wheel of life is turning around me I'm not sure about Standing right in the middle Am I choosing right dancing on rhythm or aside Am I still part of the game I wanted to be part of your world somehow Wished I had met some of your dreams But no I did not
2.
She knows 04:46
Deeply concerned She calls one last time before alerting Someone who might be close Or supposed to do the job of checking How can a child know more about life than a parent who cared and gave The chance to be there It's a chance to be there He could have gone away for so many reasons She knows in some kind of way what she feared has happened
3.
Canopy 04:03
Floating here in the air From above I see The burning sky And this swirling world turning around falling apart From above there's no pain From the canopy There's only rain There is only rain In my soul in my heart In my shallow breath Could I achieve Just some peace of mind I need to find Some solid ground I'm outside of me From the canopy I aspire Aspire to live I aspire to live

5.
Springtime’s here will it rain again In my heart like it did At the same time last year Springtime’s here I still fear The toughness of the loss Of the wings You had placed on my back Springtime’s here And the blossoms on the trees Are like your smile to me Springtime’s here But I won’t hear your voice anymore
6.
7.
My heart will beat for you Until the day I die I will stand still, but blue, dark as a threatening sky I'll stay away Never in your way I love love far too much, to throw those memories They'll be here as a well of sensations I love love far too much, not to keep those murmurings You once shared with me My heart will beat for you Until the day I die
8.
Rows of houses, all bearing down on me I can feel their blue hands touching me All these things into position All these things we'll one day swallow whole And fade out again and fade out This machine will, will not communicate These thoughts and the strain I am under Be a world child, form a circle Before we all go under And fade out again and fade out again Cracked eggs, dead birds Scream as they fight for life I can feel death, can see its beady eyes All these things into position All these things we'll one day swallow whole Fade out again Immerse your soul in love

about

Inspired by haiku - a very short Japanese poem that enables us through very few words to see the invisible, to palpate the absent, to feel, and to vibrate, Cecile Andree creates with the album 'nature' "organic" vocal jazz project pieces that evoke nature: not only the environment that surrounds us, but also and especially, the nature of the soul.
This soul, like plants in a shaded environment reach up to the light, aspires to grow, to rise to the brightness of its own canopy.

Reproducing the harmony of nature...

The voice uses sounds - words or onomatopoeia, from written or improvised melodies. It is either lowered or increased by the instruments, it seeks the symbiosis of the instruments, the unity of the moment through the beauty of the harmonies.
